Living Connection – Structure and Concept
The structure of this artwork expresses the inseparable relationship between humanity and nature. It was inspired by traditional Mongolian interwoven patterns and the Ulzii knot motif, which symbolizes strong bonds, love, strength, unity, and the continuous flow of life.
The front section of the sculpture rises upward from the ground and reaches toward the human form with a sense of movement. This represents the idea that human beings originate from nature and remain eternally connected to it. In the reflective mirror element, viewers can see themselves, allowing them to connect with their inner emotions and the energy of nature.
The iron structure represents durability and stability. At the same time, its surface gradually changes and rusts over time under the influence of rain, water, sunlight, and wind. This evolving appearance further symbolizes the relationship between humans and nature, as well as history, continuity, and the marks of time.
The upward-reaching form creates the feeling of striving toward the sky and open space, suggesting that all connections converge into one central point. When viewed from every angle, each part flows harmoniously into the next, expressing the central idea of “Living Connection.”
