艺术本无界
Preface:Art has no boundaries
从杜尚小便池的当代性到蔡国强烟花秀的壮丽,从徐冰新英文书法的跨文化实验到科苏斯三把椅子的结构主义,
从波洛克行动绘画的能量场到毕加索的立体相对论,从达利的梦的解析到沃霍尔的基因复制。
艺术总是在不断突破既有边界的过程中向前发展,从狭义的美术走向广义的艺术,从视觉走向非视觉,从宏观低速世界走向量子和宇观。
From the contemporaneity of Duchamp’s urinal to the grandeur of Cai Guoqiang’s fireworks show, from Xu Bingxin’s cross-cultural experiment in
English calligraphy to the structuralism of the three chairs of Kossus, from Pollock’s action painting energy field to Picasso’s cubist theory of relativity,
from Dali’s dream analysis to Warhol’s gene replication. Art always moves forward in the process of constantly breaking through existing boundaries,
from narrow art to broad art, from visual to non visual, from macro low-speed world to quantum and cosmology.
艺术正是在这样的探索中,获得新的生命力和能量场,并不断启迪着后来者否定权威,重塑观念,再造惊艳。
正如今年开幕展主题“艺光年”,艺术正以光速与时俱进,与AI共生,与探测器同行。改变观看模式,改变呈现方式,改变思维角度,改变传播途径。
改变意味着一切,网络时代色即是空。不变是对改变的回应,也是对后者的嘲讽。但赢得行业优势的很可能不是竞争对手,而是来自另一维度的人。
所以,决不能把学术评论当读后感来写,洞见比常识更重要。
Art gains new vitality and energy field through such exploration, constantly inspiring later generations to deny authority, reshape concepts,
and recreate stunning moments. As the theme of this year’s opening exhibition is "Art Lightyear", art is keeping pace with the times at the speed of light,
coexisting with AI, and walking alongside detectors. Change the viewing mode, change the presentation style, change the perspective of thinking,
and change the way of communication. Change means everything, and in the age of the internet, everything is change.
Unchanging is both a response to change and a mockery of the latter. But it is likely that those who gain industry advantages are not competitors,
but people from another dimension. So, academic comments should never be written as reflections after reading, as insights are more important than common sense.
其实,艺术没有界限,也没有边界。无古无今,无人无我。无拘无束,无始无终。消除壁垒,打破桎梏。随心所欲,纵浪大化,是谓无界。
艺术如此,艺术家亦当如此。正如今年上苑艺术馆的野草疯狂生长,缠竹抱树,侵门占路,其势前所未有,因连年拆迁,因持续雨水。
也许并不因为什么,它们就是要生长,生长是一切意义与价值之所在。艺术本无界,庸人自定之。
In fact, art has no limits or boundaries. No past, no present, no one without me. Unrestrained, without beginning or end.
Eliminate barriers and break free from constraints. Being free to do as one pleases and letting the waves grow is called boundless.
Art is like this, and artists should also be like this. Just as the wild grass in Shangyuan Art Museum grew wildly this year, entwining with bamboo and trees,
encroaching on doors and occupying roads, its momentum was unprecedented due to years of demolition and continuous rainfall. Perhaps it’s not for any reason,
they just need to grow, and growth is where all meaning and value lie. Art has no boundaries, but mediocre people are limiting it.
